AVK Currumbin manufacturing facility has been a long time client for Neumann Industrial Coatings for Abrasive Blasting and Industrial Coatings.
Our Abrasive Blast and Industrial Coatings facility is directly across the road from AVK Currumbin manufacturing operation on Davall Street, Currumbin.
Regular works includes the Abrasive Blasting and Painting of ductile iron water pipes, which can range in size and quantity.
Abrasive Blasting of ductile iron water pipes
Our large Blast Room is 15 metres long and 7 metres wide and can easily accommodate a large quantity of pipes. We have two Blasting Units which can blast either steel metal grit or crushed glass. For the Ductile Iron the steel metal grit is used, which creates a sound clean surface for painting.

We have two large spray rooms, one is 10 metres x 20 metres and the other is 20 metres by 20 metres with a 7 metre opening. We also have a 8 tonne yard crane, 17 tonne forklift and 5 smaller forklifts for moving items around. Our 7,500m2 yard is fully fenced and secure.
The water pipes are painted with two coats of Jotun Tank Guard 412. Tankguard 412 is a solvent-free, two-pack epoxy tank coating and is specially designed for use in potable water (drinking water) tanks and pipes. Two coats achieves a dry film thickness of 400µm.
